How Do I Actually Use a Bong?

It’s not as daunting as you might think. Fill the base with water (just above the downstem slits), pack your bowl with ground flower, light it, and inhale through the mouthpiece while gently pulling. When ready, lift the bowl or slide to clear the chamber. 

Smooth and simple. But, we recommend taking small hits at first to get to used to the clearing action - it’s easy to get caught off guard on those first few rips!

How Do You Keep Your Piece Clean?

Use isopropyl alcohol or hot water to clean out residue. Give it some time to soak and then shake gently before rinsing thoroughly. The more often you clean, the less aggressive you need to be. But if you give that gunk time to form a bond on the glass it’ll get really stuck on.

How Much Water Should You Add?

Enough to submerge the downstem slits by about ½ to 1 inch. Too little and you won’t get filtration - too much and it’ll splash. Fill slowly and test a dry pull to check the bubble action.

Should I Put Ice in My Water Pipe?

Totally optional, but we definitely prefer it! Dropping in a few cubes will cool the smoke further and give you smoother hits. Just don’t overdo it or you’ll flood the chamber as the ice melts. Pay attention to water levels. 

Can I Use My Bong for Dabs, Too?

Technically yes, but you’ll need to swap the bowl for a quartz banger or nail. Personally, though, we prefer using bongs for flower, dab rigs for concentrate. The flavor can get funky if you use the same piece for both, and it’ll be really hard to clean.
